UBAC
The University Bilateral Agreements Committee approves and periodically reviews agreements developed by ECU departments/schools/colleges with other colleges and universities that specifically allow the transfer of academic credit for prospective and current ECU students. UBAC has developed documents and processes which institutionalize the review process for ECU agreements proposed by programs and departments of the university.
Formed in June 2012 through REG02.07.04, the University Bilateral Agreements Committee (UBAC) approves and periodically reviews agreements developed by East Carolina University (ECU) departments/schools/colleges with other colleges and universities. These agreements specifically allow the transfer of academic credit for prospective and current ECU students. Internships and study abroad courses, which are taught by ECU faculty, are not bilateral agreements and are not governed by the process described below. All bilateral agreements comply with stipulations in REG02.07.04.
All new agreements must be completed using university-approved forms, accessed from the “FORM” link above. Once completed, pending agreements will be reviewed by the committee. A copy of the final, completed bilateral agreement will be logged and retained in the Office of the Registrar.
